May 23 Traffic Advisory

Boston, MALocal News

Boston's parking restrictions and street closures will be enforced on June 1, 2025, in anticipation of the annual Beacon Hill Arts Walk and Dorchester Day Parade. The Beacon Hill Arts Walk will take place from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, closing West Cedar Street to through traffic. Concurrently, the Dorchester Day Parade will follow its traditional route along Dorchester Avenue, starting at 1:00 PM after the Dot Day 5K. To ease transportation, residents are encouraged to walk, bike, or use public transit, with the MBTA advising round-trip ticket purchases. Parking restrictions will affect multiple streets, including both sides of Dorchester Avenue from Pierce Square to Columbia Road.

These measures are aimed at ensuring public safety and smooth event logistics. Organizers have secured necessary permits for street occupancy and closures. Overall, the city hopes to minimize congestion and enhance the experience for attendees.
