Mayor Wu and the Office of Returning Citizens Announce 900,000 in Grants to Support Reentry

Mayor Michelle Wu announced over $900,000 in grants to support reentry services for formerly incarcerated individuals in Boston. Funded by the City’s annual operating budget, the initiative includes $607,000 awarded to 38 community organizations through Returning Citizen Support Grants. These funds will enhance job training, housing support, and community integration services. Mayor Wu highlighted the city’s dedication to ensuring smooth transitions for returning citizens. The Office of Returning Citizens will also allocate $300,000 for housing support to seven nonprofit organizations.
