Mayor Wu Announces 2025 Neighborhood Coffee Hour Series
Mayor Michelle Wu has announced the 2025 Neighborhood Coffee Hour Series, set to run from April 29 to June 18 in various Boston parks. This initiative aims to create a platform for residents to engage directly with the Mayor and city officials about local issues and improvements. Participants can enjoy coffee from Dunkin’ and fresh fruit from Star Market while partaking in lawn games and other community activities. Each event will feature representatives from the Community Engagement Cabinet, who will address neighborhood-specific concerns, including updates on 311 cases and city investments in various sectors. The Mayor emphasized the importance of these gatherings for fostering community connections and gathering valuable feedback.
To enhance participation, a Community Input Survey will be released ahead of the events, allowing residents to voice their concerns. This year, attendees will also receive free flowering plants from the Parks and Recreation Department while supplies last. Overall, the Neighborhood Coffee Hours represent a significant effort to enhance civic engagement and improve Boston's public spaces.
