Mayor Wu highlighted the Summit's significance in promoting civic engagement and fostering a welcoming environment for all. Nathalia Benitez-Perez, the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Civic Organizing, noted the inspiring feedback from last year's Summit, which reached full capacity in under 12 hours.

As a result, this year's event will expand its capacity to welcome up to 300 participants. The partnership with Boston University, praised by President Dr. Melissa L. Gilliam, underscores the commitment to fostering inclusive conversations. The Civic Summit serves as a vital platform for civic leaders to share knowledge, inspire collective action, and drive community-driven progress.
