Stay Active This Spring with the ABC Forever Young Program for Older Adults

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department has launched the ABC Forever Young Program, a free initiative designed for older adults to engage in outdoor activities this spring. In collaboration with Boston Centers for Youth and Family (BCYF), the program aims to promote active lifestyles and build social connections. The weekly sessions are set to occur every Wednesday from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p.

m. from April through June, featuring a variety of activities at different city parks. Participants can look forward to cornhole at Edwards Playground, bocce at Langone Park, and archery at Barry Field. Each month introduces a new activity, keeping the experience fresh and engaging for attendees. Importantly, there will be no activities on April 23 due to the Boston Public Schools' spring vacation, allowing participants to plan accordingly.

This initiative not only emphasizes physical fitness but also supports mental well-being and community engagement among older adults, making it a perfect opportunity to embrace the joys of spring.
