Mayor Wu, Superintendent Skipper Cut Ribbon on Patrick J. Kennedy Elementary School
Mayor Michelle Wu inaugurated the newly renovated Patrick J. Kennedy Elementary School in East Boston, a project funded by a $23 million allocation from the City’s five-year Capital Plan. The renovation includes a 3,900-square-foot two-story addition, featuring a new main entrance, an elevator, and updated accessibility features. Superintendent Mary Skipper stated the school embodies a commitment to providing a safe and modern learning environment for all students. Community leaders praised the enhancements, which include fully renovated bathrooms and improved playground facilities.
The project aims to foster a welcoming atmosphere for the school’s 300 students. Site improvements also reconfigured the playground and parking lot for better accessibility.
