Boston, MALocal News

Boston will enforce parking restrictions and street closures for several events in October 2025, including the Oaktoberfest 5K on October 19 and the No Kings Rally on October 18. The Oaktoberfest 5K will start at YMCA at Oak Square, while the No Kings Rally will occur at Boston Common from 12 p. m. to 3 p. m.

Streets such as Beacon Street and Charles Street will have temporary parking restrictions to facilitate these events. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or use public transit to minimize traffic disruptions. The MBTA advises riders to opt for round-trip tickets for a quicker return journey. Additional events include the Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandanna 5K and the East BOOston Y 5K, both scheduled for the same month. The Boston Transportation Department will also undertake roadwork on Massachusetts Avenue to improve bike infrastructure.

These proactive measures aim to enhance public safety and ensure smooth traffic flow during the busy event schedule.
