City of Boston Launches 'Color Flows on Winter Street'

Boston launched 'Color Flows on Winter Street,' a multi-week initiative featuring art installations and cultural events in Downtown Crossing. The program runs daily from 11:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m.

until November 16, showcasing colorful installations and food trucks. Mayor Michelle Wu highlighted the program's role in fostering community engagement and celebrating creativity. This initiative aligns with the City’s broader efforts to enhance public spaces, making them safer and more enjoyable for all. 'Color Flows' is one of the first projects stemming from the Boston Design Vision, which aims to transform public areas into community hubs. The City has invested $200,000 to support Creative Enterprises, enhancing the downtown area's vibrancy.

Local businesses, including a boba tea shop and a small business incubator, benefit from this activation. As Deputy Chief of Urban Design Diana Fernandez Bibeau noted, these creative solutions aim to strengthen the local economy and improve quality of life.
