Framingham police search for armed robbery suspect

On Wednesday at approximately 8:45 a. m. , a suspect attempted an armed robbery at Dubom Supermarket in Framingham, wielding a large kitchen knife. Surveillance footage captured the moment he pulled the knife from a Burlington Coat Factory bag and demanded cash from the cashier, who bravely refused to hand over any money. The suspect wore a Puma hoodie and a beanie hat with holes to obscure his face, and investigators later discovered the hat discarded in a nearby dumpster.

The cashier reported that the suspect spoke Brazilian Portuguese, aiding police in their investigation. Authorities are releasing images of the suspect to solicit help from the public. The Framingham Police Department is emphasizing community involvement in solving this case. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about grocery store safety in the area, prompting local officials to urge vigilance among residents.
