A 15-year-old has been charged with multiple traffic violations after his modified e-bike collided with a vehicle in Milford, Massachusetts. The crash occurred at the intersection of Main and Exchange Streets, where the teen allegedly ignored a red light. Milford Police shared video footage of the incident on Facebook, illustrating the dangers of modified e-bikes, which can reach higher speeds. Chief Robert Tusino expressed concern over the growing trend of unsafe e-bike operation, noting that riders frequently violate traffic laws and ride on sidewalks. "If he didn’t roll out of the way after he fell, he would have been completely run over," Tusino told 7 News.

Fortunately, the teen did not sustain serious injuries, but the incident raises significant safety concerns for both e-bike riders and motorists. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the car will not face charges, emphasizing that they acted lawfully. This incident highlights the urgent need for increased awareness and regulation of modified e-bikes in the community.
