Man in critical condition after falling off boat off Newburyport

A man fell off a boat about five miles off Newburyport and was transported to a hospital in critical condition on Tuesday. Newburyport police and fire departments received a report of the incident at approximately 3:45 p. m. Other boaters on-site provided CPR until first responders arrived to take over. They brought the man to a private dock on Plum Island Point, where he was further transported to a nearby hospital.
