2025 'Boston Blooms with Daffodils' Bulb Giveaway Announced

Boston, MALocal News

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department's "Boston Blooms with Daffodils" initiative will distribute over 15,000 daffodil bulbs citywide, inviting local community groups to participate. Interested individuals and organizations can register online at boston. gov/boston-blooms until September 28, but may face limitations due to supply constraints. Last year, over 100 community groups contributed to the beautification effort by planting bulbs in various neighborhoods. Bulbs can be picked up on October 28 and November 4, with planting events scheduled for the weekends of October 30 and November 6.

The Parks Department will provide instructions for bulb pickup to registered groups. Volunteers are encouraged to document their planting efforts and share them on social media with the hashtag #BostonBlooms. This initiative, which began in 2011, aims to beautify public spaces and foster community engagement. For more information, individuals can contact the Parks Department via phone or email.
