Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact and Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds - 112 Queensberry Street September 12, 2025

Boston, MALocal News

The City of Boston is set to request federal HOME Program Funds to support the development of 24 affordable housing units at 112 Queensberry Street, with the submission planned for October 1, 2025. The project, located in Boston's Fenway neighborhood, aims to construct a six-story building with units priced for individuals and families earning 30%, 50%, and 60% of area median income. Among these, three units will cater specifically to formerly homeless individuals, with services facilitated by the contractor HomeStart. The total project cost is estimated at $18,872,343, which includes $1,400,000 in federal funding. The city has confirmed that the project will not significantly impact the environment, negating the need for an Environmental Impact Statement.

Public comments on the Environmental Review Record will be accepted until September 30, 2025, allowing community feedback before funds are requested. The Mayor's Office of Housing certifies that all responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) have been met. If objections arise, HUD will consider them for 15 days following the request submission.
