Mayor Wu Appoints Rachel Skerritt to Boston School Committee

Mayor Michelle Wu appointed Rachel Skerritt to the Boston School Committee, effective immediately, to serve until January 1, 2028. Skerritt, currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Attuned Education Partners, is a Boston Public Schools alumna, parent, and former educator. She has 20 years of educational leadership experience, including a successful tenure as Head of School at Boston Latin School, where she led efforts to restructure admissions for greater equity. Mayor Wu praised Skerritt's dedication to public service, emphasizing her commitment to making BPS a primary choice for families. Skerritt expressed her gratitude and readiness to support students and families across Boston, highlighting her personal connection to the school system.
