Boston Latin School earned the top spot in U. S. News and World Report’s rankings of Massachusetts high schools, achieving an impressive score of 99. 74 and ranking 46th nationally. The school reported a graduation rate of 98% and that 94% of its students passed at least one AP exam.

Following closely, Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School in Hadley ranked second in the state and 96th nationally. Massachusetts distinguished itself with 43% of its high schools making the top 25% nationally, the highest percentage in the country. The rankings are determined by factors such as college readiness, state assessment proficiency, and graduation rates. Furthermore, Massachusetts placed nine schools among the top 50 STEM high schools, with Concord Carlisle High School ranking highest at No. 16.

In the charter school category, three Massachusetts schools made the top 50, including Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School at No. 22. These rankings reflect the state’s commitment to educational excellence and its emphasis on STEM education.
