4 dead, including 2 kids, in suspected N.H. murder-suicide
Four family members, including two children, were discovered dead in a suspected murder-suicide at a New Hampshire residence on Monday evening. Each victim suffered gunshot wounds, prompting investigators from the New Hampshire State Police to respond after a 911 call reported multiple fatalities. A toddler was found unharmed inside the Madbury home, located approximately 15 miles from Portsmouth. New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella stated that detectives are treating the case as a potential murder-suicide.
Autopsies for the deceased are planned for Wednesday at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Concord. The investigation remains active, but authorities confirmed there is no threat to the public. This tragic event raises significant concerns about family violence and mental health support in the community. The identities of the deceased will be disclosed on Tuesday, pending notification of next of kin.
