Toddler seriously hurt in fall from third story window in Dorchester, police say

A 3-year-old boy fell from a third-floor window in Dorchester on Monday night, prompting a swift response from Boston police and EMS. Upon arrival, first responders found the child alert but struggling to breathe, with noticeable swelling on the left side of his upper body. He was rushed to Boston Children’s Hospital, where he was reported to be stable and alert by police. Fortunately, he is no longer in life-threatening condition as of Tuesday afternoon. Authorities have secured the apartment for further investigation by the Boston Police Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Response.
