Police in Southern California find 30,000 worth of Labubus stolen from warehouse

Boston, MALocal News

Chino Police announced the recovery of approximately $30,000 worth of Labubu dolls stolen from a warehouse. The theft unfolded over multiple days, with two minor suspects identified as warehouse employees. Investigators found the dolls at a residence in Upland, securing a search warrant for the location. One suspect tried to flee but surrendered later, while the other was apprehended in a nearby city. Both minors face charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Authorities discovered 14 boxes of stolen items along with evidence indicating plans to resell the collectibles across the country. The Labubu dolls, first introduced in 2015 by artist Kasing Lung, are sold by China’s Pop Mart and have gained significant popularity. This incident reflects broader concerns about the rise in theft of collectibles as their market value increases.
