Boston, MALocal News

Eight children from France were hospitalized after experiencing seizure-like symptoms at St. Paul's Parish during a choir concert in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Fire Chief Thomas Cahill stated that crews responded to a report of a child having a seizure, which led to seven others exhibiting similar symptoms. All affected children, aged 11 to 13, were taken to local hospitals, where they are expected to recover. A hazmat team thoroughly checked the building and found no hazardous materials, despite multiple attendees reporting strange odors.

Approximately 70 other individuals at the concert were not affected and were escorted out by chaperones. Chief Cahill noted that the children appeared healthy before the incident, making the situation unusual. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the episode, emphasizing the need for further investigation. Such medical emergencies are rare in routine events like choir concerts, raising concerns among attendees and officials.
