Cummins Highway Construction Update July 2025

Cummins Highway construction will take place from July 7 to July 25, with planned work focusing on sidewalk and curb installations. Crews will form sidewalks from Hebron Street to Livermore Street and install pedestrian ramps in the Greenfield/Weybosset area during the week of July 7. The following week, workers will continue curb installations from Hebron Street to Livermore Street and begin work on the rotary island curb and concrete. The final week of construction will see sidewalks formed and curbs installed from Livermore Street to Weybosset Street. These improvements are designed to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility, addressing long-standing infrastructure needs.

Construction will occur daily from 7:00 a. m. to 3:30 p. m. , potentially disrupting local traffic.

Residents should prepare for changes during this period, as the schedule may adjust due to weather conditions. The updates reflect ongoing efforts by city officials to improve local infrastructure.
