Man dies after 'erratic' behavior, struggle with Haverhill police, Essex DA says

Francis Gigglioti, 43, died after a chaotic encounter with Haverhill police on Friday evening. Officers received a report of his erratic behavior near 115 White St. and found him acting belligerently. After fleeing on foot and attempting to enter a business, police attempted to restrain him, resulting in a struggle outside Bradford Seafood. Gigglioti became unresponsive during the encounter and received medical assistance from an EMS crew before being taken to the hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, with the cause of death still unknown.
