Scattered tropical downpours Tuesday could cause localized flash flooding in Massachusetts

Massachusetts faces tropical downpours and thunderstorms on Tuesday, raising flash flood concerns in the region. StormTeam 5 meteorologist Mike Wankum highlights potential rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, particularly in areas south of the Mass Pike. A heat advisory remains in effect as temperatures climb to around 90 degrees. A flood watch will start at 2 p. m.
