Boston, MALocal News

The Paper Store has closed its West Roxbury location after failing to negotiate a new lease with the landlord. CEO Tom Anderson explained that the company assesses store performance based on various factors, including store traffic and proximity to other locations. With no plans to reopen in West Roxbury, customers can visit nearby stores in Dedham and Quincy. The Paper Store celebrated its 60th anniversary last year by announcing a $60 million expansion plan aimed at modernizing its locations across the Northeast. In 2024, the company opened or refreshed nine stores, with seven more openings planned for later this year.

The new flagship location in Attleboro is set to be one of the largest in their portfolio. The Paper Store operates over 100 stores nationwide and employs more than 3,000 individuals. Anderson expressed a commitment to reinvesting in the community through continued expansion and modernization efforts.
