Mayor Michelle Wu announced the 11th annual Donna Summer Disco Party, taking place June 27 from 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on City Hall Plaza.

This free event will feature music by DJ Vince 1, a special performance by O'Mega Red, roller skating, and dancing, all in honor of Boston's disco legend. Mayor Wu stated that the party is a great way for residents to come together for fun and family-friendly activities. The Office of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment will also host a Dance Party Series throughout the summer, which includes themed nights for R&B, Island Vibes, and Old School music. Each event aims to celebrate Boston's diverse cultural landscape and is designed to be inclusive for residents and visitors alike. John Borders IV, the Director of Tourism, noted that these dance parties embody the spirit of Boston, creating spaces for joy and community.

The Disco Party and Dance Party Series are expected to draw significant crowds and enhance local tourism. The initiative reflects the city's commitment to promoting public celebrations and cultural events.
