New Operational Changes In Effect at Allan Yorke Park

Bonney Lake, WALocal News

Allan Yorke Park, a cherished destination on Lake Tapps, is rolling out new operational changes aimed at enhancing visitor safety and enjoyment. The changes include a stronger law enforcement presence, with officers actively engaging with park users and enforcing city and state regulations. In a bid to ensure safety, beach access will be limited to 250 guests at any one time, while boat launch privileges are reserved for city residents holding annual passes. Boat trailer parking will be designated at ballfield 4, and a valid launch pass must be displayed. Seasonal paid parking will commence on July 10, although it will remain free during major city events like Tunes at Tapps and Bonney Lake Days.

Furthermore, on-street parking in surrounding neighborhoods is now restricted to local homeowners, necessitating valid parking permits. The Bonney Lake parks crew has been diligently preparing the park for a busy season, enhancing visibility and accessibility for patrol officers. These operational changes reflect the city’s commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
