Art Gallery Returns to the Bonney Lake Justice Municipal Center

The Bonney Lake Art Gallery has reopened at the Bonney Lake Justice & Municipal Center, offering a platform for local artists to display their work. Open to the public during business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a. m. to 5:00 p. m.

, the gallery currently features a collective of Northwest artists presenting a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums. Noteworthy highlights include LeShawn Gamble's 'Misty' collection, which beautifully captures Misty Copeland, the first principal Black ballerina for the American Ballet Theatre, through acrylic and airbrush techniques. Trenise Williams contributes a self-portrait and an impressive portrayal of Jimi Hendrix. Additional works by Charles Conner, Jonarra Swanson, and Charde Brown celebrate both historic and contemporary African American figures. The gallery serves as a vital cultural resource for the community and is inviting new artists or art collectives to apply for the 2022 quarterly rotation.
