The 10th Annual Mayor's Food Drive is currently underway in Bonney Lake, aimed at collecting nonperishable food items from residents to support the local food bank. Scheduled for collection on November 15 and 16, residents are encouraged to place their donations next to their garbage carts for easy pickup on their service days. Alternatively, those who prefer to drop off their items can do so at designated locations, including the Bonney Lake Food Bank and local schools. This food drive not only provides essential sustenance to families but also highlights the importance of community involvement. Since its inception in 2014, the initiative has successfully gathered over 90,310 pounds of food, directly benefiting more than 1,000 families in the area.

The Mayor’s Food Drive exemplifies the collaborative effort between local government and residents to combat food insecurity. It offers a vital opportunity for residents to show their support for their neighbors and contribute to a meaningful cause, reinforcing Bonney Lake's commitment to helping those in need.
