The City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) reported that construction upgrades to water and sanitary sewer near West Second and Rogers streets are ahead of schedule. Crews will close the intersection from 8 p. m. on Monday, Sept. 29, to 8 a.

m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, to complete necessary sewer and water connection work. Preparations for the closure will begin the evening of Sept. 28, with crews moving signage and performing saw cuts.

After this work, CBU will focus on reopening West Second Street between Rogers and Morton streets. CBU acknowledges the inconvenience caused by construction and appreciates the community's patience. This project reflects the commitment and effort of CBU crews, ensuring timely progress and enhancing the reliability of Bloomington's water infrastructure.
