The City of Bloomington Utilities will implement a temporary lane restriction on South Sare Rd. for fire hydrant replacement on September 29, 2025. This work will take place between East Moores Pike and East Cathcart Street, starting at 9 a. m. and concluding by 2 p.

m. , contingent on weather conditions. Motorists should exercise caution in the area and allow extra travel time due to potential delays. CBU does not anticipate any interruptions to water service while the hydrant is replaced. This repair is part of CBU’s commitment to maintaining Bloomington’s water infrastructure, which includes about 3,200 regularly inspected fire hydrants.
