The City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Black Males will host its annual Youth Leadership Summit on September 11 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. at City Hall.

This summit aims to engage and empower middle and high school male-identifying students through workshops and community-building activities focused on leadership and personal growth. Registration is free, and students who participate will be excused from class. Although the event is tailored for African American and Latino male-identifying students, all interested individuals are welcome to attend. The summit will feature a panel discussion led by Patrick D. Smith, PhD, along with other notable panelists such as Adrian Parker, PhD, and motivational speaker Thomas X.
