Public invited to 2025 Bellevue Essentials graduation ceremony

Bellevue will host the graduation ceremony for its 2025 Bellevue Essentials program on November 19, featuring keynote speaker Kevin P. Henry, a former city diversity leader. Henry will deliver an address titled “The True Leader in All of Us,” aiming to inspire 36 new graduates with his insights on leadership, belonging, and community engagement. Cosmos Darwin, a product manager at Microsoft and a graduate of the program, will also share his experiences during the ceremony. Henry dedicated 20 years to shaping Bellevue's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, producing educational content and fostering dialogue across cultures.

His contributions have significantly impacted Bellevue's reputation as an inclusive city. The event runs from 7-9 p. m. at City Hall and is open to the public, providing an opportunity for community members to learn about the program. Attendees can register for the dessert reception on the Bellevue city website.

Bellevue Essentials has engaged over 400 community members in civic education over its 13 years.
