Hot Luck starts Thursday
Austin's Hot Luck festival launches Thursday, featuring renowned chefs recognized by the James Beard Foundation. The festival includes a Friday night street food market, "Nite Moves," at Assembly Hall, showcasing offerings from various acclaimed chefs. On Saturday, the outdoor event "Al Fuego" at Jester King Brewery will focus on open fire cooking, while a Sunday brunch at Fair Market will present an array of local bites. Tickets for individual events are priced at $195, with proceeds supporting the Southern Smoke Foundation, which aids food industry workers facing hardships. Aaron Franklin described the festival as a gathering of "the most awesome chefs from all over" in Austin, emphasizing its cultural significance.
This marks the seventh edition of Hot Luck, illustrating the city's evolution as a culinary destination. Austin's vibrant food scene continues to attract attention, making events like this crucial for local exposure. The festival not only celebrates culinary creativity but also fosters community support for those in the food industry.
