Shooting, carjacking suspect ends up at Magic City in handcuffs

In the early hours of Saturday, April 12, 2025, Atlanta police arrested a suspect connected to a shooting and carjacking incident near the iconic Magic City strip club. The incident began at an Exxon gas station, where a man was found with a gunshot wound to the leg after allegedly being shot while returning to his vehicle. Following the shooting, the suspect stole the victim's car and fled the scene. Police quickly located the suspect near Magic City, approximately two miles away, where he attempted to evade capture but was arrested without further incident. The victim was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

While the suspect is currently held at the Grady Detention Center, authorities have not yet specified the charges he will face.
