Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux to Open at Battery Atlanta, Co-Owned by Drew Brees

Atlanta, GALocal News

A new sports bar, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, co-owned by Super Bowl champion Drew Brees, will soon open at the Battery Atlanta, replacing Mac McGee’s Irish Pub. This venue is designed to create a unique dining experience, focusing on high-quality food and exceptional service, as emphasized by Mike Plant, President & CEO of Braves Development Company. The establishment will feature a “non-traditional” layout, approximately one-third the size of typical Walk-On’s locations, while still offering a lively atmosphere with dozens of TVs for sports viewing. This move aligns with the Battery Atlanta's strategy to enhance its restaurant offerings, following the upcoming opening of Shake Shack in the same district. Brees, who is known for his competitive spirit, brings a unique flavor to the establishment, promising an inviting and family-friendly environment for patrons.

The restaurant aims to cater to sports fans and families alike, ensuring a great experience even on days when the Braves are not playing. As the area continues to evolve, Walk-On’s is poised to become a popular destination for both locals and visitors. This opening reflects the growing trend of sports-themed dining experiences in vibrant entertainment districts.
