Atlanta Black Gay Pride set to launch as October Pride lineup unveiled

The Atlanta Black Gay Pride celebration will kick off this Wednesday, running through next Tuesday, and is recognized as one of the largest Black LGBTQ+ pride events in the nation. A news conference later today aims to preview the highlights of the annual celebration. In conjunction, Atlanta Pride organizers are unveiling their festival and parade details, scheduled for October 11–12. The first entertainers announced for the October event include Bob the Drag Queen, who gained fame as the season 8 winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Additional performers include Two AM Ricky, Bentley Robles, and Adeem the Artist.

The grand marshals for the October parade comprise influential figures such as Dr. Christy Perez and Raquel Willis. These events not only celebrate diversity but also foster a sense of community and visibility within the LGBTQ+ population. The upcoming celebrations are significant for Atlanta's cultural landscape, emphasizing inclusivity and representation.
