Six Flags Over Georgia is gearing up to launch its latest thrill ride, the Georgia Gold Rusher, in spring 2025, which will honor the state's historical 1885 gold rush. Previously named the Georgia Surfer, the ride has undergone a thematic transformation, introducing a whimsical character, the eccentric prospector William "Willy" Gibson. Situated in the Lickskillet section of the park, the Georgia Gold Rusher boasts 590 feet of U-shaped track, multiple high-speed launches, and innovative free-spinning gondola seating that can reach speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. General Manager Greg Fuller emphasized that this attraction reflects a return to the park's roots in thematic storytelling, aimed at enhancing the overall guest experience. The park is also offering Silver Passes for $49, which include unlimited visits and additional benefits like free parking and discounts on food and merchandise.

The excitement surrounding the new ride is expected to attract both thrill-seekers and families alike.
