The Peachtree Road Race, a beloved Fourth of July event in Atlanta, saw participation from over 52,000 runners in 2025, marking the largest turnout since its 50th anniversary in 2019. Kenyan long-distance runner Hellen Obiri dominated the women's elite race with an unofficial time of 31 minutes and 29 seconds, while Patrick Kiprop won the men's division with a time of 27 minutes and 35 seconds. In the wheelchair division, Daniel Romanchuck and Susannah Scaroni claimed victory, showcasing their continued excellence with Romanchuck's eighth consecutive win. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens expressed enthusiasm for the race, emphasizing its role in promoting community engagement. Race director Rich Kenah encouraged participants to prepare for an exciting event that celebrates Atlanta pride and movement.
