Street Resurfacing Project To Begin in the Summer
The City of Woodinville is set to begin its annual street resurfacing project this summer, focusing on streets deemed "fair to poor" based on a 2024 Pavement Condition Analysis. This resurfacing effort is a cost-effective strategy that extends pavement life by five to seven years, enhancing road safety and aesthetics. This year, the contractor's bid was 60% lower than the Engineer’s estimate, yielding significant cost savings for the community. Most of the work will be concentrated in the Wellington neighborhood, where some speed bumps will also be upgraded to enhance safety. The project is scheduled to take approximately 6-8 weeks, and the City will keep residents informed via its project webpage and social media platforms.
Additionally, properties in affected areas will receive specific notifications regarding the work. This initiative underscores the City’s commitment to maintaining local infrastructure and improving drivability for years to come. Mayor Mike Millman expresses gratitude for the community's support and patience during the project.
