West Hollywood's Iconic Halloween Carnaval Returns in 2024

West Hollywood is preparing for its beloved Halloween Carnaval on October 31, 2024, from 6 p. m. to 11 p. m. This unique event is expected to attract thousands of costumed participants to the Rainbow District along Santa Monica Boulevard.

The celebration will feature a live DJ, food trucks, and a showcase of creative costumes that embody the Halloween spirit. Since its inception in 1987, the Carnaval has evolved into a vibrant display of culture, self-expression, and community spirit. The City emphasizes safety, urging attendees to follow guidelines that prohibit alcohol, weapons, and drones. Local businesses are invited to enhance the festive atmosphere by hosting their own events, with the City offering fee waivers for necessary permits. Participants are encouraged to share their costumes on social media using the hashtag #wehohalloween and tagging @wehocity.

As the event approaches, the City reminds everyone to plan for safe transportation options and to celebrate responsibly.
