The program also aims to enhance cycling accessibility through partnerships that provide adaptive cycling options for individuals with disabilities. Since 2021, DDOT has replaced over 140 older stations as part of ongoing maintenance efforts. The Bowser Administration has invested heavily in multimodal transportation, including the construction of bike lanes and trails.

The FY26 Budget continues this trend with significant funding for transportation improvements across the District.
