Deputy Mayor Nina Albert emphasized that these funds help local businesses secure permanent spaces and create sustainable growth. Holt, who serves on various boards advocating for small business development, stated that the event showcases the power of public investment combined with innovation. The Bowser Administration's focus on supporting entrepreneurs includes significant investments like $2. 4 million for the Technology Ecosystem Fund and $52 million through the DC Venture Capital Program.
