The Bowser Administration commemorates the 15th anniversary of Capital Bikeshare (CaBi), a transformative bikeshare system in the District. Launched in 2010 with 49 stations and 400 bikes, CaBi has expanded to over 800 stations and 8,000 bikes, facilitating more than 50 million trips since its inception. Furthermore, the program enhances cycling access through partnerships that offer adaptive cycling sessions for individuals with disabilities. The Bowser Administration has invested in multimodal transportation, adding 55 miles of bike lanes and expanding the trail network. The FY26 Budget continues this trend with historic funding for transportation improvements across the District.
