Mayor Muriel Bowser inaugurated the Reservoir District Townhomes in Ward 5, delivering 146 for-sale townhomes, including 22 affordable units, as part of the revitalization of the former McMillan Sand Filtration Site. This project represents a significant investment in housing and community infrastructure, coinciding with the conclusion of National Homeownership Month. Bowser emphasized the role of public-private partnerships in transforming underutilized land into vibrant neighborhoods with essential amenities. Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie noted the project's long history and its alignment with community values. The development complements the existing Reservoir Park Recreation Center and a 6.
