Mayor Muriel Bowser officially opened the Reservoir District Townhomes in Ward 5, delivering 146 for-sale homes, with 22 designated as affordable. Bowser highlighted the project's role in transforming underutilized land into thriving neighborhoods that offer essential amenities and homeownership opportunities. The development showcases a public-private partnership, involving Vision McMillan Partners and EYA, among others.

Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie expressed pride in the project's community-driven approach, noting its long history and dedication to local values. The townhomes' architecture complements the site's historic structures, featuring white brick facades inspired by the area's past.
