Mayor Bowser Delivers First Housing and Homeownership Opportunities at Reservoir District on Former McMillan Site

Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie emphasized the project’s significance to long-time residents, highlighting its decades-long development. The townhomes feature designs that blend with the site's historic structures, echoing the area’s history.

This initiative aligns with Mayor Bowser's commitment to affordable housing and community development in Washington, D. C. The Bowser Administration's FY26 Budget allocates substantial funds for housing initiatives, further supporting this mission. The Reservoir District also announced a summer event series to foster community engagement and celebrate local culture.
