Mayor Bowser Delivers First Housing and Homeownership Opportunities at Reservoir District on Former McMillan Site

The development, a partnership between the District of Columbia and Vision McMillan Partners, also includes future plans for apartments and retail spaces.

Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie emphasized the project's importance for long-time residents, reflecting community values and historical significance. Bowser's Growth Agenda supports continued investment in affordable housing, with over $100 million allocated for housing initiatives in the FY26 Budget. The Reservoir District aims to create a vibrant community where residents can live, work, and enjoy various amenities. Additionally, a summer event series will foster community engagement through music, culture, and wellness activities.
