Mayor Bowser Delivers First Housing and Homeownership Opportunities at Reservoir District on Former McMillan Site

Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie highlighted that the project represents community values and provides essential neighborhood amenities, including a world-class recreation center. The townhomes are designed to complement the site's historic structures with white brick facades. Bowser’s FY26 Budget allocates significant funds for housing initiatives, including $100 million for the Housing Protection Trust Fund. The Reservoir District also launched a summer event series to foster community engagement, featuring live performances and wellness activities.
