Ron Kent and Rick Larson have officially concluded their terms on the Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC) as of January 2025, after an impressive 14 years of volunteer service. Both men began their tenure in 2011 and played vital roles in advising the City Council on important urban planning initiatives, including the Regional Growth Center Subarea Plan and the Wayfinding Signage Plan. Kent also took on the role of liaison to the Planning Commission during his time, further bridging communication between city planning efforts and business interests. Larson's insights, drawn from his extensive experience as a local businessman, were invaluable, particularly in shaping the City’s Housing Action Plan. Their collaborative work has positively influenced the economic landscape of the community and addressed significant challenges faced by local businesses.
