Pierce Co. deputies seek armed robbery suspect in University Place

Pierce County deputies are investigating an armed robbery that took place on October 15 at a 7-Eleven store in University Place, Washington. The suspect, described as a Black man aged 20 to 35, approached the cashier and demanded cash while suggesting he had a knife concealed in his sweatshirt. Surveillance footage captured the suspect wearing a notable white hoodie adorned with a mariachi band decal, possibly linked to a local restaurant. He also wore a black face mask, black gloves, dark pants, and white shoes with red and black accents. Local authorities are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying the individual, emphasizing the importance of public involvement in solving such crimes.

Individuals with information are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers, with the potential for a reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest. This incident highlights ongoing challenges regarding public safety and crime prevention in the area, and the investigation remains active as deputies continue their efforts to apprehend the suspect.
