During the Nov. 3 City Council meeting, members of various advisory commissions recapped their efforts in 2025 and shared their work plans for 2026. These commissioners, all residents, volunteer their expertise to help shape local policy. The City of University Place is currently accepting applications from residents interested in joining the Economic Development, Park Advisory, Planning, and Public Safety Advisory Commissions. Applications must be submitted by 11 a.

m. on Nov. 26, 2025. This initiative encourages community involvement in local governance, ensuring that diverse perspectives contribute to decision-making processes.
